Premium Zebra Files
In the Ugly Duckling Nails collection, you’ll find files with different grits (the coarseness of the file).
We offer 4 different files, and honestly, that’s all you need.
- Premium Zebra Fine: Comparable to a grit of 240, ideal for finishing.
- Premium Zebra Medium: Comparable to a grit of 180/150, perfect for shaping.
- Premium Zebra Coarse: Comparable to a grit of 100, for more coarse filing work.
- Additionally, we have our bestseller, the Combo File Medium-Coarse. This file has a grit of 180/150 on one side and a grit of 100 on the other side.
Premium Buffers
The buffers from Ugly Duckling Nails have the same grit classification as the Premium Zebra Files, but in buffer material. Buffers are used to make the filed nail surface smooth and even.
- Premium Buffer Fine: Comparable to a grit of 240
- Premium Buffer Medium: Comparable to a grit of 180
- Premium Buffer Coarse: Comparable to a grit of 100
The Art of Filing
Filing during a treatment is one of the most important steps in applying gel nails, and perhaps the most crucial for turning your set into a real gem.
With the right filing steps, you can correct any mistakes that occur during the application of gel, acrylic, acrylic gel, and even BIAB.
Want to see how I work during filing? When I use which files and buffers? I will show you everything during our perfection training sessions. You can also always book a private session with me.
