What to Do with a New Brush
When you purchase a new brush from Alina Hoyo, you might notice that the bristles are stiff. This is due to a product applied in the factory to keep the bristles together.
How to Remove It:
- Bend the Bristles
- Gently pull the bristles apart, and you will see some white fibers coming out.
- Once you have removed all the white particles, it’s time to ‘load’ your brush. Place a small amount of clear gel on the Crystal Palette. Dip your brush into the gel a few times until the bristles are fully saturated. Then, clean the brush with a dry wipe.
- Your new brush is now ready for use.
Maintaining Your Brushes
Proper maintenance ensures your brushes last for years.
It’s advisable to have several gel brushes:
- One specifically for your builder gel.
- One for your color gels (ideally, have two separate brushes—one for dark colors and one for light colors).
- One for glitter gels.
After each use, always clean your brush with a dry wipe. You might also dip the brush in builder gel on your Crystal Palette before using the dry wipe.
Always ensure that your brush is kept away from LED/UV light or sunlight, as this can harden the brush. Use the accompanying cap to store your brush when not in use.
