A prep is a dehydrator and cleanser that ensures the pH level of the natural nail is perfectly balanced, thereby promoting good adhesion.
You apply the prep after preparing the natural nail and after the manicure. The product air dries, so it doesn't need to go under the lamp.
Primer
Ugly Duckling Nails' primer is an acid-free primer. Use it only on the natural nail, after applying the prep, to guarantee ultimate adhesion between the natural nail and your final product.
The primer air dries. Less is more: use very little primer, as too much primer can cause the gel to lift. Wait a few seconds for the primer to dry before proceeding to the next step.
Hema-Free Primer
Hema-Free Primer is an alternative to the acid-free primer, which you can use for clients who are sensitive to Hema.
This primer reduces the risk of irritation or allergic reactions, making it better for sensitive skin. Note that it may provide slightly less adhesion than the regular primer.
