Round Flatbacks
Round Flatbacks are the most commonly used gemstones by nail technicians. In our webshop, we offer various sizes and colors so you can create the most creative designs.
Placing and Removing Round Flatbacks
The best product to securely attach crystals to the nail is Schtik It by Ugly Duckling.
- First, fully complete the nail, including the topcoat.
- If your topcoat has a tacky layer, remove it first with a cleanser without oil or with alcohol. If you're using a No-Wipe topcoat, you can proceed immediately.
- Use a dotting tool to apply a very small amount of Schtik It to the nail.
- Pick up the crystals with a wax tool and press them into the Schtik It.
Do you have the Blinger? It's a wax tool and dotting tool in one! - Once all the crystals are in place, cure the product for 1 minute under an LED lamp or 2 minutes under a UV lamp.
- To prevent hair or clothing from getting caught on the edges of the crystals, finish around them with a fine brush and a bit of No-Wipe topcoat.
- Please never apply any product on top of the crystals, as this will dull their beautiful shine!
- To remove the crystals, never use an electric file, but rather an old cuticle nipper. Be careful, as they can fly off! It’s best to wear safety glasses to avoid getting them in your eyes.
A Little Extra Sparkle
A jewel or rhinestone adds that extra touch to your nail art design. A rhinestone design instantly gives your clients' nails a more glamorous and luxurious look. It's often chosen by brides, as it perfectly complements nearly any wedding dress when paired with a baby boomer or French manicure.
