A Base Coat ensures optimal adhesion between the natural nail and the product with which you will build the nail set. As the name suggests, it is a base gel that you truly need to prevent lifting for your client.

At Alina Hoyo, we offer various types of Base Coats from different brands, such as Natural Base and Build-A-Base from Ugly Duckling Nails. When using these Base Coats, it's important to always work with the Prep & Primer from Ugly Duckling Nails.

From Urban Nails, we have the Rubberbase Clear in our range. This rubber base has repeatedly proven to provide excellent adhesion when used with the Magic Prep, also from Urban Nails.

The Rubberbase Clear from Urban Nails can also be used in combination with Prep & Primer from Ugly Duckling Nails for optimal adhesion.

Choose a Clear Product as Base Coat

Preferably, always opt for a clear product as a Base Coat. This means a transparent Base Coat with no pigments. Clear or transparent nail products will always offer better adhesion compared to products with pigments.

A Clear Base Coat, preceded by proper preparation of the natural nail and a thorough manicure, is the remedy against lifting of artificial nails.
